Mary Ellen Zamal (nee Young) age 84 years of Gibbstown died Thursday, February 12, 2009 in West Deptford Township. Born on the Anheuser Busch farm in Busch, MO, she moved to Gibbstown over 70 years ago where she has resided ever since. She was employed at the DuPont Chambers Works for two years prior to her employment at Mobil Research & Development where she worked for 38 years until her retirement in 1982. At Mobil, as a senior laboratory technician, she had several projects that led to technical procedures in the rhealogy department. She served on the advisory committee for First Home Savings Bank, Gibbstown Branch. Mrs. Zamal was a member of the Red Horsemen Club and St. Michael’s R.C. Church, Gibbstown. She enjoyed shopping and decorating her home. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Albert; her daughter, Elizabeth A. (Anthony) Tarquinto of West Deptford; her grandsons, Anthony J. Tarquinto of Inglewood, CA and Major Michael S. (Natasha) Tarquinto Sr. of Sarajevo, Bosnia; her great grandson, Michael S. Tarquinto Jr and her brothers, Paul F. Young of Gibbstown and Edward Lee Young of Mickleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Monday, February 16, 2009 in St. Michael’s Church, 313 Memorial Ave., Gibbstown. Friends may call Monday morning after 9:30 AM in the church. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Arrangements by McBRIDE - FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, Paulsboro.
